LUST video. Interpretation of futurist manifesto

//futurist manifesto of lust interpretation//

The visual interpretation of the Futurist Manifesto of Lust, written in 1913 by Valentine de Saint - Point.  The concept of the Manifesto was represented by visually staging the main message and atmosphere of the manifesto. We were concentrated on the emotional and energetic idea that the Manifesto was communicating. Our goal was to captivate the instinctual emotion, and emphasize it in form of sequential images. Ten phrases were extrapolated and given the position, rhythm, and proper image. As a final result, we have produced a video, and a booklet.

The printed version was exhibited during the “Fahrenheit 39” editorial festival in Ravenna, Italy (7-9 March 2014).

[Lust is a force. It is the vital energy, the instinctual drive of the individual and the
Earth. It is the inspiration of the human that breathes out into the universe. It is the
warm breath, the increasing rhythm that reaches its maximum and then subsides in
a circular energy creating life.
We possess body and spirit
flesh creates in the way that the spirit creates
to curb one and develop the other shows weakness and is wrong
lust is the quest of the flesh for the unknown
lust is a virtue that urges one on, a powerful source of energy
lust excites energy and releases strength; it is always the supreme spur
it is the desire of two bodies that want each other, striving for unity
it is the painful joy of wounded flesh, the joyous pain of a flowering
it is the communion of a particle of humanity with all the sensuality of the earth
lust is a force.]
